The sheeting is unwound from take-off beam and goes over two steel rollers against which it is pressed with polyurethane rollers. The sheeting is stretched in consequence of difference in linear velocity of the said single rollers.

The stretched sheeting goes over the longitudinal cutting blade roller, transversal cutting adjustment roller and directional guiding roller up to the take-up unit that is designed as a carriage movable on guideways and equipped with gripping device as well as circular transversal-cutting tool.

At the end of the guideways, a needle mechanism is installed that collects and stores temporarily ready-made products.

The machine is also equipped with a device for collecting edges (lists) that are not always equal.

Majority of movements is effected with the help of pneumatic cylinder units.

The process automatic control is based on the PLC control unit.

Supplementary machine equipment comprises the following units:

  • sheeting deficiency detector
  • ready-made product counter
  • ionizer preventing an electrostatic sheeting adhesion
Use of the device
The machine is designed to produce Christmas-tree sparkling threads from polyethylene sheeting. Ready-made Christmas-tree sparkling thread unit is a ca 105 cm long tape cut longitudinally every 1.2 mm. A ca 7 cm long and non-cut tape piece keeps together all the unit threads.
