The machine is featured by two outlets, independent ribbon feeding drives as well as common drive for the cross-feed of the table on which cartons are placed. The ribbons can be laid with 3 speeds. The adjustable speed and deflection angle of the laying arm make it possible to lay properly ribbons in cartons of various length. Owing to the adjustable table travel, cartons of various width may be used as well.

On each of the machine outlets, the following operation assisting units are provided:

• ribbon stretching (straightening) device
• overload detector
• ribbon shortage detector
• measuring roller
• positive ribbon feeding device
• electronic programmable ribbon length meter

The positive ribbon feeding device, particularly important for elestic ribbons, makes the ribbon tension drop within the ribbon length measuring zone, thus assuring the accurate ribbon (length) measurement.

The electronic meter makes the outlet run stop once the set number of meters has been reached. The existing length of the ribbon being laid is continually shown on the meter display.
